Our 100% polyester white staple fiber offers exceptional quality with precision-engineered 1.5 denier fineness and 38mm cut length. This solid polyester fiber is manufactured using virgin PET materials to ensure consistent performance across various textile applications.
The production process involves several key steps:
Polymerization: Raw materials (Purified Terephthalic Acid - PTA and Mono Ethylene Glycol - MEG) are combined to create molten polyester.
Spinning: The molten polymer is extruded through a spinneret to form continuous filaments, which are then gathered into a loose rope called a "tow."
Drawing: The tow is stretched (drawn) to align the polymer molecules, which increases its strength and tenacity.
Crimping: The tow is passed through a crimping machine to give the fibers a wavy, zig-zag pattern. This is crucial as it provides bulk and helps the fibers grip each other during the spinning process.
Cutting: The continuous tow is finally cut into precise, short lengths—this is the "staple" fiber. It is then baled for shipment.
